Are you or your children anxious or uncomfortable about receiving dental treatment? Dr. Kal or Dr. Farah are happy to offer you a way to increase your comfort level with the use of Nitrous Oxide Sedation.
What is Nitrous Oxide Sedation? Nitrous Oxide Sedation uses a combination of two gases, Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen, as a general anesthetic. The greatest portion of the mixture is pure Oxygen. Nitrous Oxide is used to relax and calm nervous patients during dental treatment. It is administered by a small cone which fits loosely over your nose. Before you leave the
dental office, the effects will already have worn off and you will be able to drive immediately afterward.
Caledonia Smiles also offers I.V. Sedation for those patients that would prefer to sleep through their dental care.
Our aim is to completely relax our patients while they are in our office, as your dental visit should be a restorative time for mind, body and spirit. If you don't feel comfortable during treatment, talk to us about ways to help you relax. Modern preventive techniques, advances in anesthesia, nitrous oxide and many new relaxation techniques allow our patients to leave our office feeling better than when they arrived!
